The Cyntara client is not distributed through the Google Play Store, so Android will ask you to allow installing apps from an unknown source. This permission only needs to be granted once.

1. Tap the Download button above and wait for Cyntara_Android.apk to finish downloading.
2. Open your notification shade and tap the completed download, or open the Files app and locate Cyntara_Android.apk in your Downloads folder.
3. Android will show "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source". Tap Settings.
4. Enable Allow from this source for the app you used to open the file (e.g. Chrome or Files). You can also manage this permission under Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps.
5. Go back, tap Install and wait for the installation to complete.
6. Tap Open and log in with your Cyntara account.

• Blocked by Play Protect: Tap More details and choose Install anyway. Play Protect flags apps that are not published on the Play Store; the Cyntara client is safe.
• "App not installed" error: Usually caused by an incomplete download or a leftover installation. Delete the APK, re-download it, and try again.
• Updating over an existing install fails: Uninstall the old Cyntara client first, then install the new APK. Your account and characters are stored on the server and will not be lost.
• Insufficient storage: Free up space (installation temporarily needs roughly twice the APK size) and retry.
• "There was a problem parsing the package": The file did not download completely. Re-download it using a stable connection.
• Installation refused on older devices: The client requires Android 10 or newer and will not install on older versions.
