After 1 season of this enchanting system, more than a feedback, a question, as EK or RP i got naturally 20% to ALL elemental defenses already?
so with my set, for example knight:

23:57 You see a horned helmet (Arm:18, club fighting +4, sword fighting +4, axe fighting +4, protection physical +5%, death +2%, speed +5).
23:57 You see a ornate chestplate (Arm:25, club fighting +6, sword fighting +6, axe fighting +6, shielding +6, protection physical +10%, death +5%, speed +5).
23:58 You see ornate legs (Arm:14, protection physical +5%, earth +2%, fire +2%, death +5%, speed +5).
23:58 You see guardian boots (Arm:12, shielding +2, protection physical +5%, death +5%, speed +10).
23:58 You see a blessed shield (Def:300, club fighting +5, sword fighting +5, axe fighting +5, shielding +8, protection physical +5%, energy +5%, death +6%).
physcal +30% death +23% earth +2% fire +2% energy +5%

which means.. together with the inherted resistances ive already
55% physcal, 48% death, 27%earth 27%fire and 30% energy

If im correct on math then 55% its over the 50% cap, and the donor set needs a rework or a check on stats

but maybe im wrong and the inherted resistance does not work like explained at guide?

so please taking as reference the EK donor set and inherted naturally resistances, how this "inherted naturally" works?

With EKs you start with 25%, RPs is 20%

So yes, you overcap with just the donor set on some protections
