When you leave a pharos chamber is takes all of the boss items from you, instead of just 1.
So if you have 5 ceremonial ankhs on you it'll take all 5 when you leave instead of just 1.
Also if you already did a boss and absorbed their power you STILL have to sacrafice an item in order to leave the room when you go back. Kinda crappy

This is the intended behavior. We don't want players farming the quest for others.
